Although the climate seems to be changing on a worldwide basis, the Caribbean islands are generally considered as being at their best between November to May. Whilst the temperatures remain constant year round, the mid-summer months have higher humidity, and a greater chance of rainfall. Tropical storms, and occasionally hurricanes, can also occur in these months. As you may expect the more scenic mountainous islands (Dominica, St Lucia, Grenada, Tobago) have more rainfall than the flatter less scenic. Barbados has a lively nightlife/restaurant scene, with some attractive shopping opportunities. The other islands are essentially about total relaxation, with limited nightlife, although both Le Sport and La Source will have something happening most evenings. Most of the Caribbean islands have good water sport facilities, with the diving opportunities in Dominica compensating for the lack of beaches.
